OK.  But why does it say $5.00 up there?

The short story is that when it said $1.00, people still tried to pay for it.  You know about herding cats?

It says $5.00 now because we don’t want you to go through checkout to “purchase” something that is supposed to be free.  Do not add this to your cart.  Meow.  Go here instead CLICK

Free pie includes 1,000 annual declared mileage records (these are records where you add the mileage amount because you happen to know it…. say, you use a Garmin, or… your phone map, or… (shudders!) your odometer…), 100 dynamic mileage records. ( where you just enter the address or location, and mileage pie figures out the rest).  It’s intended for people to sample the dynamic mileage features of Mileage Pie and… it works fine for people whose real tracking needs are limited.  It’s like everything else that’s free.  Good for some.  Not for others, and all for you to judge.

The point is… you shouldn’t have to pay to try it out.  It’s just a little spoon of ice cream.   We want you to get something you like.  It’s not worth it – to us – for you to purchase something you don’t like.  Claims and returns are a distraction.  Take the time to be sure you like it.  Please.

P.S. – Mileage Pie won’t work without your address.  If you take us up on the option to create your account the beSpokn way?  Be prepared to respond to emails asking for your address.  Respond to them.  We use your home address to routinely create mileage records that start from your home.
